The Befriending – A Rosary of Light

Thank you for saying yes to this sacred collaborative journey.

The Befriending is part of A Rosary of Light — a contemplative anthology series exploring the soul’s unfolding through poetry, essays, prayers, reflections, and devotional writing.

This agreement exists to create clarity, coherence, and a lovingly held creative container for everyone involved.

1. Participation

By joining The Befriending, you are entering a curated collaborative process held by Eva Andrea / Tiferet Press.

Your selected package includes:

• Publication in the anthology

• Live online gatherings

• Personal refinement session(s)

• Editorial guidance and curation

• Participation in the collective launch experience

• One personal author copy

Participation implies commitment to the full creative process, including honoring timelines, communication, and submission guidelines.

2. Author Information Form

Upon enrollment, contributors will receive an Author Information Form to complete. (Click below this agreement to fill it in.)

This form collects the practical information needed for the anthology and publishing process.

Contributors are responsible for ensuring this information is submitted accurately and within 24 hours.

3. Submission Guidelines

To preserve the aesthetic coherence and contemplative rhythm of the book, all submissions must follow the provided formatting and length guidelines.

These include:

• Word count limits for prose and essays

• Line count limits for poems and prayers

• Formatting requirements

• Submission deadlines

• Thematic alignment with the spirit of the book

Contributors are responsible for:

• Including total word count at the top of essays/prose

• Including total line count (including line breaks) for poems/prayers

• Submitting polished and intentional work that follows the shared guidelines

Submissions that do not follow the guidelines may be returned for correction before review.

4. Deadlines & Communication

The anthology process depends on mutual respect for timelines and communication.

Contributors agree to:

• Submit work by the shared deadlines

• Respond to important project communication within a reasonable timeframe

• Communicate clearly if challenges or delays arise

If timelines are repeatedly not honored, or communication becomes unavailable, Eva Andrea / Tiferet Press reserves the right to exclude the contribution from the final publication.

5. Editorial Process

All contributions will receive gentle editorial refinement for clarity, flow, formatting, and coherence while honoring the unique voice and essence of each writer.

Eva Andrea serves as the creative editor and curator of the series and holds the final editorial and curatorial authority regarding:

• Editing

• Inclusion

• Formatting

• Layout

• Sequencing

• Design coherence

• Overall artistic direction of the anthology

Every effort will be made to preserve the integrity and heart of each contribution while serving the greater harmony of the collection as a whole.

6. Curatorial Alignment

The Befriending is a contemplative and sacred literary space.

Contributions are expected to honor the contemplative and sacred atmosphere of the series. Writing rooted in cruelty, degradation, explicit sexual language, explicit violence, or intentionally harmful expression is not aligned with the spirit of the project.

Eva Andrea / Tiferet Press reserves the right to decline or request revisions to any submission that does not align with the quality, spirit, coherence, or vision of the anthology.

7. Translation & Language

Contributors writing from another language are welcome.

If English is not your first language, you may submit a translated draft created with supportive tools such as ChatGPT or DeepL.

Contributors remain responsible for providing a clear English draft. Final refinement and language editing will be lovingly completed within the editorial process.

8. Rights & Permissions

Contributors retain the copyright to their individual written works.

By participating in the anthology, contributors grant Eva Andrea / Tiferet Press non-exclusive permission to:

• Publish the contribution within The Befriending

• Include excerpts for promotional and marketing purposes

• Use the contribution within future editions or reprints of the anthology

Eva Andrea / Tiferet Press retains the rights to:

• The anthology as a collective work

• The series concept and design

• Layout and visual identity

• Branding and marketing materials connected to the series

Contributors remain free to later republish their own texts in personal books, newsletters, websites, or social media.

9. Marketing & Launch

Contributors are warmly encouraged to participate in the collective launch and share the book within their communities in ways that feel authentic and aligned.

Contributors may also:

• Purchase author copies through Amazon

• Sell copies independently

• Offer the book within their own community or work

Eva Andrea / Tiferet Press may use contributor names, and excerpts for promotional purposes connected to the anthology.

10. Payments & Refunds

All payments are non-refundable.

This includes situations where a contributor:

• Chooses to withdraw from the project

• Does not submit their work

• Misses deadlines

• Becomes unavailable during the process

Due to the intimate, preparatory, and curatorial nature of the anthology, participation reserves creative space and energy from the beginning of the process.

Payment plans, if offered, must be completed according to the agreed schedule.

11. Publication Timeline

The intended launch date for The Befriending is St. Clare’s Feast Day — August 11th, 2027.

While every effort will be made to honor the intended timeline, contributors understand that publishing schedules may occasionally shift due to creative, editorial, or technical processes.

12. Nature of the Experience

A Rosary of Light is a creative, contemplative, and collaborative literary experience.

While the process may feel personally meaningful or transformational, participation does not constitute therapy, certification, or guaranteed professional outcomes.

13. Agreement

By enrolling in The Befriending and submitting the Author Information Form below, contributors acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined above.
