Welcome to a new volume in A Rosary of Light.
When conceiving The Remembering, I thought I was creating a single book.
But as the voices gathered, the prayers unfolded, and the mysteries revealed themselves, I began to feel that something larger was asking to be born…
A whole series of contemplative altar books.
Tracing the soul’s journey through landscapes of awakening, tenderness, transformation, and belonging.
And so, in this same spirit, I invite you into the second volume:
The Befriending
This book is an exploration of what happens after the remembering begins.
When we slowly stop standing outside our own lives.
And we soften the distance between ourselves and the world.
When we learn to embrace all that we are with greater tenderness.
And mystery no longer feels far away, but intimate.
When we begin to sense that perhaps we were never walking alone.
The Befriending is about relationship in its many sacred forms:
befriending the shadow,
befriending the heart,
befriending the unseen,
befriending love,
befriending the world itself.
This volume will unfold through five mysteries:
The Shadow
The Heart
The Unseen
The Beloved
The World
I am seeking writers and poets.
Mystics, seekers, and lovers of beauty.
Honest voices willing to meet these mysteries with openness and depth.
You may write from lived experience.
From contemplation and devotion.
From grief, joy, wonder, or healing.
From longing or silence.
Or from the mystical transformations that are difficult to name.
I welcome:
Essays, poems, prayers, reflections, mantras, channelings and contemplative fragments
What matters most is sincerity.
It is a space for truth, tenderness, soul, and human depth.
The heart of this series is spaciousness:
many voices, many paths,
many ways of encountering the sacred.
My vision is that these books become companions for those moving through their own awakenings
— books to return to slowly, to leave beside the bed, to place on an altar.
And to open in moments of longing, seeking, reflection and becoming.
