An invitation to the final voices of The Befriending: A Rosary of Light

Dear one,

The circle is almost gathered.

22 writers have already found their way to The Befriending. Writers, poets, mystics, seekers and beautiful humans from different corners of the world, each bringing their own lived experience, their own voice and light.

And even before the book is written, it already feels very much alive.

Now I’m listening for the final few voices that will complete this beautiful constellation.

Maybe yours. ✨

Last year, I opened the doors to The Remembering: A Rosary of Light, inviting voices from around the world to explore the mysteries of awakening and remembrance with me.

What emerged became a beautiful contemplative altar book woven from essays, poetry, prayers, mystical experiences and deeply human stories. Since its release, The Remembering has been received with such beautiful enthusiasm, soaring to #1 on the Amazon bestseller lists in every one of its categories. 🌹

And somewhere along the way, a sister book began whispering to me.

Her name came first:

The Befriending

If The Remembering was an invitation to remember, The Befriending asks something beautifully intimate:

What happens when we begin to befriend our lives?

For me, befriending begins when we bring love in.

Not necessarily to fix, change or understand something.

But to meet it. To come a little closer. To bring love into places where perhaps there has been fear, resistance, judgment, distance or forgetting.

And something begins to happen when we do.

A relationship forms.

A befriending. 🌹

We begin to meet the parts of ourselves we once rejected with greater tenderness. We listen differently to the heart. Mystery becomes intimate. We return to the body as a living temple. And perhaps we begin to experience the world itself as something we are in sacred relationship with.

The Befriending will unfold through five mysteries:

The Shadow · The Heart · The Unseen · The Body Temple · The World

Five doorways. And countless ways of bringing love in.

Perhaps you have befriended a part of yourself you once pushed away. Perhaps grief opened your heart; the unseen came closer; or you found your way home to your body, the Earth, the Divine, another human being, or life itself.

Maybe you did the befriending.

Or maybe something, somehow, befriended you.

What have you befriended? And what has befriended you?

That is where your pieces might begin.

You don’t need to have everything figured out. You don’t even need to know exactly what you want to write yet.

I welcome essays, poems, prayers, reflections, mantras, channelings and contemplative fragments.

What matters most to me is sincerity, presence, soul and human depth.

Many voices. Many paths. And many ways of encountering the sacred.

My vision is for The Befriending to become a book people live with. Something beside the bed or on an altar. A companion opened in moments of longing, transition, awakening, or when we simply need a little light and companionship.

The Befriending: A Rosary of Light will be published on August 11, 2027, the feast day of St. Clare of Assisi, whose life and friendship with Francis carry so much of the spirit I feel within this book.

And maybe, one year from now, you’ll hold this beautiful book in your hands and find your own name on the back.

Maybe your words will be the words someone else opens to on exactly the day they need them.

Ahhh... I love thinking about that. ✨

I’m holding these last places with care because this book is, first and foremost, a curation of voices.
